Major Responsibilities

Schedules and administers fleet maintenance, assists in troubleshooting problems with equipment. Communicates availability of vehicles for service with dispatch, maintenance manager and/or other operations personnel.
Repairs and maintains diesel engines and bus equipment.
Supervises maintenance operations. Plans and distributes the work. Delegates responsibilities as appropriate and monitors performance. While involved in reviewing personnel actions (e.g., hiring, promotions and discipline), all such actions are further reviewed and approved by higher management.
Ensures compliance on a day-to-day basis with State, Federal and Company requirements.
Works closely with location manager providing status of maintenance and budget requirements. Reviews repair orders.
May order fuel for all vehicles, order parts, and subcontract repair work.
Supervises bus fueling. May arrange services for building and ground keeping.
Identifies and recommends actions to improve operating efficiency.
Completes special projects as assigned. Required to perform hands-on work activities.

Minimum Education or Certifications Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Technical training preferred
Possess CDL Operator\'s license with required endorsements

Minimum Experience or Skills Required

3+ years of hands-on mechanical supervisory experience
May require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs
Good written and oral communication skills
Computer skills
Industry experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines and school bus equipment is preferred

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Maintenance Shop
Must be able to work in a crouched position or on back lying on mechanic\'s dolly beneath motor vehicle equipment; subjected to dust, dirt, and grease conditions.

Dispatcher Responsibilities:

Oversees all routes and scheduling of buses
Counsels and coaches drivers and monitors
Handles heavy phone and radio traffic
Takes all scheduling and driver complaints, report to Operations Supervisor/Contract Manager
Serves as primary communication liaison with major contracted customer
May handle charter reservations, billing, or driver payroll
Provides solutions to drop-off and pick-up problems

Job Description

Major Responsibilities

Maintain high degree of confidentiality, encourage and promote safe environments, maintain positive collaboration when communicating with all contacts.
Upload and compliance date maintenance for assigned locations
Reviews all documents for accuracy before being entered in the compliance system. Communicate document issues to location and provided support to resolve.
Train location staff on compliance program, processes, and document requirements
Troubleshoot location challenges with compliance program platform, maintaining compliance etc. Escalates to Driver Compliance Supervisor as necessary.

Job Description

Major Responsibilities

Maintain high degree of confidentiality, encourage and promote safe environments, maintain positive collaboration when communicating with all contacts.
Upload and compliance date maintenance for assigned locations
Reviews all documents for accuracy before being entered in the compliance system. Communicate document issues to location and provided support to resolve.
Train location staff on compliance program, processes, and document requirements
Troubleshoot location challenges with compliance program platform, maintaining compliance etc. Escalates to Driver Compliance Supervisor as necessary.
Support location on-site activities as assigned
Other responsibilities as required

Minimum Education or Certifications Required

High school or equivalent

Minimum Experience or Skills Required

CDL Required
3 years business or operations experience required; transportation experience preferred
Solid understanding of Driver Compliance Program
Strong knowledge of Federal/State/Provincial requirements for Commercial Drivers
Ability to provide leadership, training and coaching for location staff in Driver Compliance Program
Skilled in the use of Microsoft® software applications, including PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to work within a team structure, collaborating closely with colleagues and operating interdependently to achieve assigned tasks.
Proficient interpersonal and social skills
Flexible and adaptable in a fast paced, changing environment

Under direct supervision, effectively communicates with prospective or current customers through emails and inbound or outbound calls. Major Responsibilities

Manage a high volume of inbound/outbound phone and email contacts from both current and prospective customers who are calling to receive quotes for new charters or ask questions about upcoming charters.
Easily navigate through multiple systems and websites
Using basic sales techniques, understand customers\' needs to receive all required information needed to develop quote, upsell on every interaction to increase the value of the order or identify other sales opportunities within Charter or First Student
Once information has been received from customer, develop the quote which will need to include any local requirements, consideration for any applicable ancillary fees and mapping out trips
Enters and sends booking invitations to locations with available capacity (via phone, SharePoint or Outlook depending on appointment urgency).
Once quote has been developed, presents to customer. Ensures customer understands the quote and may need to use sales techniques in order book the trip. Will be relied upon to notify leadership if a rebate is needed, in order to book the trip.
Enters information into SharePoint and manages responses from location
Responds to customer inquiries and problems providing timely and accurate information or directing inquiries to supervisors if needed.
Remains informed on new policy, pricing, procedures, and other general information of interest to customers.
All other duties assigned.

Minimum Experience or Skills Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous experience providing customer service or sales in a call center environment preferred but not required
Effective oral and written communications skills; must demonstrate a professional and polished demeanor with a positive, upbeat and friendly personality
Good customer service skills; must be passionate about delivering quality service and making a difference in the customer experience
Ability to listen attentively, solve problems creatively, create win-win situations with internal and external customers
High attention to detail; able to enter data in an efficient and accurate manner
Develop and maintain professional working relationships
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
Strong ability to handle multiple tasks at once; prioritize activities based on urgency and importance, and take appropriate action with little supervision
Possess solid computer skills - Windows, Excel and Outlook - and be internet browser proficient

Pay ranges from $19 - $20 an hour DOE.
