Key Responsibilities

Monitor driver pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report equipment issues
Conduct driver road checks, including on-time performance, safe driving, bus stops, speeding, and railroad crossings
Observe drivers for work readiness, including uniform, safety vest, and appearance standards

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of supervisory experience with hourly employees preferred

Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical processes and maintenance
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work with drivers, customers, senior leaders, client representatives, union officials, and the general public
Fluent in English
Ability to work extended hours, including weekends, as needed
Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
Must have a working vehicle to travel within the service area as needed

Physical Requirements

Road Supervisor Responsibilities:

Coach, support, and evaluate drivers in the field
Conduct driver observations and safety reviews
Assist with accident response and documentation
Provide driver training, coaching, and retraining when needed
Address safety concerns and document performance issues
Support driver scheduling, dispatch, and daily operations
Partner with customers, drivers, and leadership to resolve service concerns
Assist with DOT compliance, drug-testing records, and safety documentation
Drive routes periodically and provide operational support as needed

Road Supervisor Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid CDL required
Transportation, transit, school bus, or supervisory experience preferred
Experience coaching, training, or leading hourly employees preferred
Strong communication and customer-service skills
Ability to work with drivers, customers, management, and union representatives
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety practices
Strong organization and problem-solving skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional Saturdays

If you\'re looking for a hands-on job that can launch a career in the automotive or transportation industry, this is the place to start. As a Paratransit Quality Control Specialist, you\'ll play an essential role in keeping our vehicles clean, fueled, and ready to serve the community.

This entry-level position provides exposure to a professional maintenance environment and opportunities to learn directly from our mechanics and maintenance leadership. Many of our employees have grown from this role into Mechanic, Maintenance Supervisor, or Paratransit Driver positions.

What You\'ll Do

Maintain and fuel all paratransit vehicles to ensure they\'re ready for service each day.
Check and record fuel levels, take inventory readings, and complete standard fuel and variance reports.
Inspect vehicles for physical damage, tire pressure, and fluid levels such as oil, transmission, coolant, and windshield washer.
Keep vehicles and the yard clean - including light building and grounds maintenance.
Reposition vehicles in the lot as needed to support dispatch and morning operations.
Respond appropriately to fuel spills or safety issues, following established procedures.
Maintain accurate records and communicate with shop and operations leadership on any issues found.

Who You Are

At least 21 years old (required).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.
Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.
Able to bend, kneel, or stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.
Willing to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours when necessary.
Interested in growing within the automotive, transportation, or maintenance field.
