Location: Manchester, NH Area
Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Semi-Skilled Service Employee Responsibilities

As a Semi-Skilled Service Employee, you will play a critical role in maintaining and fueling our fleet while supporting daily transportation operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Open the gates and inspect the yard to ensure buses can be dispatched safely and efficiently
  • Reposition buses as needed to maintain proper traffic flow within the yard
  • Fuel buses and maintain accurate fuel records and reporting
  • Complete required reports, including:
    • Bulk Fuel Receiving Reports
    • Fuel Variance Reports
    • Month-End Closing Reports
    • Meter Calibration Reports
  • Monitor fuel levels and coordinate fuel deliveries as needed
  • Check and replenish:
    • Engine oil
    • Antifreeze
    • Power steering fluid
    • Transmission fluid
    • Brake fluid
    • Windshield washer fluid
  • Inspect belts and other basic vehicle components while fueling
  • Perform light interior and exterior maintenance on buses
  • Assist with light maintenance of buildings and grounds
  • Support the maintenance team with general shop and yard duties
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Complete additional assignments and projects as directed by management

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance, fleet operations, automotive, diesel, transportation, or related fields preferred
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and servicing practices
  • Ability to learn maintenance and inspection procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Dependable work ethic and strong attendance record
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed

Additional Requirements

This position is safety-sensitive and subject to DOT drug testing and physical requirements where applicable.
