About the Position

Manages the evaluation, planning, and day-to-day administration of a broad portfolio of health and welfare plans, encompassing numerous complex plan design variations for collectively bargained benefits. Oversees plan set-up, payment remittance, and deduction reporting in accordance with union contracts and business development agreements. Minimum Education & Certifications Required

5 or more years of experience in employee benefits management and administration with solid understanding of compliance requirements of various government agencies, and federal and state laws.

3 or more years of supervisory or management experience with proven ability to lead and manage a team of in-person and remote team members.
Prior experience with a highly unionized workforce preferred, including the ability to interpret health and welfare provisions outlined in Collective Bargaining Agreements.

Interprets and administers benefit provisions of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).
Maintains adherence to corporate and departmental policies and procedures.

Employee Advocacy & Issue Resolution

Responds to and resolves employee inquiries and concerns.
Reviews, approves, or denies benefit exception requests.
Manages the employee benefits appeals process in conjunction with the Sr. Director.

Reporting, Audits & Financial Oversight

Facilitates preparation and submission of reports and governmental filings (e.g., Form 5500).
Manages external, internal, and union audits, including non‑discrimination testing.
Supports benefits budget preparation and oversight.
Reviews vendor invoices for accuracy and ensures timely payment.

Minimum Education & Certifications Required

Associate\'s Degree or Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience

Minimum Experience & Skills Required

5 or more years of experience in employee benefits management and administration with solid understanding of compliance requirements of various government agencies, and federal and state laws.

3 or more years of supervisory or management experience with proven ability to lead and manage a team of in-person and remote team members.
Prior experience with a highly unionized workforce preferred, including the ability to interpret health and welfare provisions outlined in Collective Bargaining Agreements.
Demonstrated experience in identifying and implementing significant process and system changes, including system updates and experience maintaining administration applications and interfacing with Human Resource Information and Payroll Systems. Proven ability to drive performance and implement processes to ensure efficiency.

Strong analytical and project management skills, attention to detail with an emphasis on quality control of data.

Proven ability to clearly and effectively communicate in person and in writing to all levels of organization and external customers.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Incumbent must be able to move about the office and between floors; utilize standard office equipment; access filing system/cabinets; and communicate effectively and efficiently in person or by telephone.

Major Responsibilities

Coordinating and managing our trade show presence across North America, developing marketing materials, liaison between trade show vendors and partners
Working with internal stakeholders to provide exceptional customer service, assist with lead generation and follow-up
Develop creative assets to support industry events, sponsorships and speaking engagements
Craft tailored and dynamic content which is aligned with overall business objectives and reflects First Student\'s style and voice.
Grow and nurture our customer/prospect base by working with marketing, digital agencies, communications and sales to identify content opportunities and to create and deliver relevant, impactful content across channels.
Develop and manage SEO/organic search, paid search and digital advertising strategies for increased prospect awareness and lead generation.
Oversee websites and work with First Student / Chart team and external agencies to propose, plan, execute and communicate content developments and quality / performance enhancements. Continually monitor websites in a proactive manner to ensure that information is accurate, content is current and pages are free of errors.
Continually test content formats and distribution channels to determine the optimal approach to reaching and engaging various segments of First Student\'s target audiences.
Routinely assess and report on digital marketing effectiveness across all channels with clear recommendations and thoughtful plans for continuous improvement.

Minimum Experience or Skills Required

Requires a four-year degree, preferably in marketing.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Marketing
Requires a high level of collaboration, curiosity, creativity, attention to detail, project management skills and a drive for results.
The ideal candidate should have a proven ability to write persuasively across multiple mediums - digital, social, mobile, print - and the ability and desire to work collaboratively in a cross- functional team environment. This candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for visual organization and design.

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills are required
Strong organizational skills with emphasis on being conscientious and detail-oriented

Works closely with the location manager and region maintenance management providing status of maintenance and budget requirements. May review financial and budget variances, review repair orders or code and approve account payable documents.
Ensures compliance on a day-to-day basis with State, Federal and Company requirements. Ensures a safe environment exists and that all maintenance and related activities are in conformance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Reviews repair orders. May order fuel for vehicles, order parts, and subcontract repair work.
Initiates and implements projects that improve efficiency and/or reduces operating costs.
Ensures that maintenance technicians are trained on current operating procedures, are properly equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.
Supervises bus fueling. May arrange services for building and ground keeping.
Completes special projects as assigned. Required to perform hands-on work activities.

Minimum Education or Certifications Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Technical training preferred
Possess CDL Operator\'s license with required endorsements

5+ years of hands-on mechanical supervisory experience
May require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs
