About the Role
The Dispatcher in Hookset, NH supports the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our local transportation team. This role is responsible for coordinating daily route coverage, communicating with drivers, monitoring service needs, and helping resolve day-to-day operational issues.
The Dispatcher works closely with drivers, location leadership, maintenance, safety, customer contacts, and school district partners to support daily operations, on-time performance, customer service, and company goals.
This position is a key support role within the location and helps ensure drivers have the information, direction, and communication needed to deliver safe and dependable transportation service.
What You'll Do
Coordinate daily route coverage and driver assignments for the assigned location
Communicate route updates, delays, schedule changes, and service needs to drivers and leadership
Monitor daily service and help resolve route, driver, vehicle, or customer-related issues in real time
Review driver sign-in, sign-out, attendance, and route coverage information
Maintain accurate dispatch logs, route updates, records, and related operational documentation
Partner with operations leadership to support safe, reliable, and on-time service
Communicate professionally with drivers, customers, school district contacts, and internal teams
Support compliance with company policies, safety expectations, and applicable transportation requirements
Assist with additional location support, reports, projects, or operational needs as assigned
What You'll Bring
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in dispatch, transportation, logistics, customer service, or operations support preferred
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to stay calm, focused, and professional in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust quickly when service needs change
Comfort using computers, email, phones, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and/or transportation systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Ability to work well with drivers, customers, leadership, and internal support teams
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Valid driver's license may be required depending on location
