Now Hiring: Service Employee - Cranford, NJ
Pay: $16.35 - $16.50 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (primary focus on interior bus cleaning)
Monday - Thursday: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM (facility cleaning, restrooms, and bus interiors)
First Student is now hiring a Service Employee to support our operations in Cranford, NJ. This role plays a key part in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment for our fleet and facility, ensuring buses and workspaces are ready for daily service.

Service Employee Responsibilities
Perform interior cleaning of school buses, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing
Clean and maintain facility areas, including offices, restrooms, and common spaces
Ensure buses and work areas meet company cleanliness and safety standards
Assist with organizing and maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment
Support general yard organization to ensure smooth daily operations
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Service Employee Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and lifting
Prior cleaning or janitorial experience is a plus, but not required
Subject to DOT drug testing and physical
