Now Hiring: Cleaner
At First Student, our Cleaners help keep our facilities clean, safe, and ready to support daily operations. This position is responsible for basic cleaning and upkeep tasks, including cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, and removing trash.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable performing routine cleaning duties in a transportation facility environment.
Pay
$17.00/hr
About the Role
As a Cleaner, you will support the location by maintaining clean and orderly work areas. You will perform general cleaning tasks throughout the facility and help ensure bathrooms, floors, common areas, and trash areas are properly maintained.
The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while following direction from management.
Key Responsibilities
Clean bathrooms and restock supplies as needed.
Sweep and mop floors throughout assigned areas.
Remove trash and replace liners as needed.
Keep common areas clean, organized, and presentable.
Perform basic facility cleaning and upkeep tasks as assigned.
Follow all company safety procedures while performing cleaning duties.
Report any maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns to management.
Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous cleaning, janitorial, or facility upkeep experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and stay on task.
Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
Ability to work in a transportation facility environment.
Working Conditions
Work is performed inside the facility and may include some outdoor areas as needed.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, sweep, mop, lift trash bags, and perform routine cleaning duties.
May be exposed to cleaning supplies, wet floors, dust, trash, and normal facility conditions.
Must be able to safely use basic cleaning tools and supplies.
