Diesel Technician - Brockton, MA (Serving Local School Districts)
First Student is now hiring a Diesel Technician for our shop serving Brockton Public Schools in Brockton, MA!
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Full-Time Day Shift (Shift hours based on shop needs)
Pay: $38.00 - $43.00 per hour (NOT flat rate) + ASE incentives

What You'll Do
As a Diesel Technician, you'll maintain and repair a fleet of school buses to ensure safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and safety inspections
Diagnose and repair engines, brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems
Complete work orders and maintenance documentation
Support road calls and emergency repairs when needed
What We're Looking For
5+ years of diesel, fleet, or automotive mechanic experience
Strong experience with vehicle diagnostics and repair
Valid driver's license required
CDL Class B (or willingness to obtain - company paid)
Own mechanic tools
Willingness to obtain ASE certifications (training + pay incentives provided)
Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced shop environment
Additional Information
This is a safety-sensitive position subject to DOT drug testing
DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana
