Job Description SummaryTo oversee and drive the successful delivery of complex projects within a program, providing strategic guidance and leadership. Responsible for managing project scope, stakeholders, and resources, and implementing effective project management strategies to achieve desired outcomes.Major Responsibilities- General - Leading complex projects from initiation to completion. Managing multiple projects' scope, stakeholders, and expectations. Developing and implementing project strategies and plans.
- Vendor Management - Oversees the alignment of vendor SOWs with program goals, ensures integration with the broader project portfolio, and manages vendor relationships to optimize program outcomes.
- Resources - Coordinates resource allocation across multiple projects within the program, ensuring that the right resources are assigned to the right projects to achieve program objectives.
- Budget - Manages the program budget, coordinating financial resources across multiple projects within the program, and ensuring that expenditures align with program objectives.
- Quality - Ensures that quality management practices are consistently applied across the program, fostering a culture of quality and coordinating efforts to meet program-level quality objectives.
- Change Management - oversees change management strategies at the program level, ensuring that changes across multiple projects are aligned with program goals and that stakeholders are prepared for and receptive to change.
- Business Case - Collaborates with project managers to integrate individual project business cases into the program's overarching business case, facilitating a holistic view of program objectives, benefits, and risks.
- Stakeholder Management - Orchestrates stakeholder engagement and communication strategies at the program level, fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders to achieve program success.
- Reporting - Establish a robust system for tracking program-level KPIs and oversees the development of consolidated project reports, facilitating informed decision-making at the program level.
- Governance - Establishes program-level project governance, integrating multiple projects into a cohesive framework, ensuring alignment with program goals and facilitating collaboration among project managers.
- Risk - Oversees risk management across the program, guiding project managers in identifying and mitigating risks while maintaining an integrated view of program-level risks.
- Project Closure - Oversees the coordinated closure of projects within the program, ensuring that all projects are closed in alignment with program objectives, and that key program-level lessons are captured.
- Mentoring & Coaching - Serves as a mentor and coach to project managers within the program, offering strategic guidance and sharing best practices to enhance their program management capabilities.
- Process Improvements - Promotes a culture of continuous improvement across the program, working with project managers to identify and implement process enhancements that drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Minimum Education or Certifications Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
Minimum Experience or Skills Required
- 6-8 years of experience in project management or related roles, including leading large-scale projects and managing cross-functional teams, with minimum 5 years of Agile projects.
- Experience managing multiple projects or a small program.
- Familiarity with program management methodologies and tools.
- Demonstrates exceptional communication skills, orchestrating communication strategies that foster collaboration among program stakeholders, sponsors, and project managers to achieve program success.
