Full job description:

Provides customer services relating to locational needs around dispatching and communications. Ensures that good customer relations are maintained and customer complaints are resolved fairly and effectively. Works with either close supervision or under clearly defined procedures.

  • Expected Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9a start time
  • Payrate: Up to $23/hr

Major Responsibilities

  • Supports Dispatcher as back-up by overseeing routing and scheduling of buses; dispatch buses and provide timely information to drivers on route.
  • Provides support through routing and communicates bus status with guardians and customers.
  • Provide customer service support through phone calls with guardians and customers.
  • Oversees bus arrival and departure situations.
  • Handles feedback and complaints from community.


Minimum Education or Certifications Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.


Minimum Experience or Skills Required

  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates is a self-starter
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
  • Computer literacy, 10 Key, Microsoft Word, Excel preferred.



Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Incumbent must be able to move about the office and between floors; utilize standard office equipment; access filing system/cabinets; and communicate effectively and efficiently in person or by telephone.
  • Office or school bus yard environment.
