Now Hiring: Operations Clerk - Hamden, CT
Location: Hamden, CT (supports local operations)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $23.00 - $24.00/hour
At First Student, our Operations Clerks play a key role in keeping our locations running smoothly. This position supports the Location Manager with payroll, billing, onboarding, and day-to-day administrative operations.

What You'll Be Doing
Process new hire paperwork and maintain employee files in compliance with company policy
Support payroll processing for drivers and staff, including attendance tracking
Process vendor invoices, code expenses, and assist with accounts payable
Assist with billing for charters and rentals and follow up on outstanding invoices
Maintain petty cash, reconcile monthly, and track daily cash receipts
Receive applications and assist with interview scheduling
Answer phones and respond to customer and internal inquiries
Order office supplies and support general administrative needs
What We're Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organization
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Basic data entry and 10-key skills
Prior administrative, payroll, or office experience preferred
